Supporting Local Healthcare Systems by Producing Face Shields (COVID-19 Response)

From April to June of this year, Olympus supported the efforts of local medical institutions to treat cases of COVID-19, by donating face shields made using the knowledge, expertise and resources of our surgical product development, production and service sites in Redmond, Washington and Brooklyn Park, Minnesota in the U.S.A. and Přerov in the Czech Republic (Olympus Surgical Technologies America, Olympus Surgical Technologies Europe), as well as our development, production and sales facilities for medical equipment in the U.K (Olympus UK & Ireland). The face shields developed and produced at Olympus facilities in the Czech Republic were distributed not only to local medical institutions, but also to employees and local nursing homes.
